Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Test! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominic Pesina! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pesina throws a sloppy head kick and Test counters with a low kick, right behind Pesina 's knee. Pesina defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Test. Pesina throws a head kick that misses and Test counters with a two punch combo. Test feints and then cracks Pesina's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pesina down. Test gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Test breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pesina misses with a takedown attempt - Test sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Test shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pesina defends it nicely. Pesina throws a sloppy head kick and Test counters with a good, hard body kick but Pesina shrugs it off. Pesina looks winded! Pesina tries to close the distance and clinch up but Test swats him away and circles back towards the center. Test fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Test. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick by Pesina misses and Test counters by clinching up. Test manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Test keeping moving, preventing Pesina from controlling successfully. That's one minute gone in the round. Test wants to stand and escape but Pesina is having none of it. Test bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pesina's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnny Test has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Test instigates a clinch. Test presses Pesina against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Nice takedown defense from Pesina. No joy for Test on that attempt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A head kick misses from Pesina. Pesina throws a sloppy head kick and Test counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Test. Pesina is trying to force a seperation but Test has the dominant position. Test pulls guard successfully.
Test wants to control the position but Pesina says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Pesina decides to stand and escape the position. Pesina throws a lazy head kick and Test moves into the clinch. Test breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Test tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pesina sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Test somewhat. Pesina closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Test keeps control of Pesina as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pesina managing to block the knees to the body from Test.
Pesina tries to break the clinch but Test is controlling the position. Pesina wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Test jumps into guard, dragging Pesina to the mat.
Test has momentary wrist control but Pesina slips an elbow through the middle. Pesina drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Test manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pesina has Test in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Test throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Test would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Test trying to control the position from guard on top but Pesina is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Test tries to free his leg and advance position but Pesina is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Test will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pesina avoids the head kick by Test.
