The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Safire darts in and clinches Gordon Levitt up against the cage. Gordon Levitt misses with the head strike.
Safire throws a knee to the head but misses.
Safire wants to take the fight to the mat but Gordon Levitt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Gordon Levitt misses with a punch on the inside.
Safire crunches a lovely knee into Gordon Levitt's ribcage. Safire blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Safire lands a good knee to the midsection. Gordon Levitt won't want to take too many of those. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Safire has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gordon Levitt regains guard immediately. Safire slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gordon Levitt looks winded! Safire has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gordon Levitt!
