Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavallo gets caught napping as Psylo dives in and scores a takedown. Cavallo manages to retain guard.

Psylo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Psylo has gone for a leg lock! Cavallo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Psylo's guard.

Psylo is looking for a triangle but Cavallo pushes his legs off easily.
Cavallo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cavallo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Cavallo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Psylo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Psylo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cavallo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cavallo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Psylo wants to sweep here but Cavallo controlling him for the moment.

Cavallo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cavallo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Psylo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cavallo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Psylo.

Psylo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cavallo is controlling him well.
Cavallo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Psylo down.
Psylo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Cavallo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Oh Psylo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cavallo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Psylo is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Cavallo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renan Cavallo!
Renan Cavallo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
