The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen tries to keep at a distance but Hongwen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Allen breaks the clinch.
Hongwen with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hongwen rushes Allen and presses him up against the cage.
Allen wants a takedown but no success here.
Hongwen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Allen looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hongwen scores with a nice hook to the head.
Allen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hongwen wants to break free but Allen has control.
Hongwen lands a left hand.
A right hook to the body lands for Hongwen.
Hongwen lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Allen or not.
Hongwen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hongwen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hongwen gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hongwen wants to free his trapped foot but Allen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hongwen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Allen on the ground.
Hongwen gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Allen walks into a straight right hand from Hongwen.
It looks like Jim Allen has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hongwen throws out the jab.
Allen dodges the punch combination from Hongwen.
The crowd cheers as Hongwen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Allen doesn't seem phased though.
Allen is rocked!
Hongwen sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Allen's defenses. It connects perfectly with Allen's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wang Hongwen!
