Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demon Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oche Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Demon Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oche Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Armstrong has managed to clinch.
Knight fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knight prevents the takedown attempt.
Armstrong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Armstrong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Armstrong fails with the takedown. Knight gets caught napping as Armstrong dives in and scores a takedown. Knight manages to retain guard. Knight has his foot on Armstrong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Armstrong works his way back into a safe position though. Armstrong throws a big right hand that misses. Knight lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Armstrong! Armstrong regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight prevents Armstrong from standing back up.
Knight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Armstrong wants to control but Knight is keeping busy.
Knight is trying to control the action in half guard but Armstrong is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Armstrong tries to roll over but Knight keeps him under control. Knight trying to control the action but Armstrong is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Demon Knight wasn't doing enough on the ground. Armstrong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Knight to score an easy takedown into full guard. Knight trying to control but Armstrong is working from the bottom. Knight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knight has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted. Armstrong looks winded! Armstrong wants to stand but Knight is controlling the position. Armstrong is trying to keep Knight in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully. Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knight defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knight lands a couple of decent looking shots. Knight stands and steps away. Armstrong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Knight bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Knight shoots in but Armstrong avoids the takedown attempt easily. Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Armstrong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong avoids it really well and circles away. Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Demon Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oche Armstrong. Knight lands a head kick!
Horrible takedown by Armstrong or perhaps it was just good defense by Knight which made him look bad. Knight shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Knight showed some decent athleticism there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Armstrong can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knight is looking to take a break and control but Armstrong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demon Knight dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Knight fails with an attempt to clinch.
A left and a right from Knight both land. Nice combination. Armstrong scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Armstrong wants to stand but Knight has his arm trapped. Armstrong scoring with punches from side control. Armstrong gets to mount! Knight was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Knight tries to lock up and control but Armstrong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Knight working to try and regain half guard.
Armstrong controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Armstrong tries to get up but Knight was controlling his body and he's reversed into guard. Armstrong is breathing heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Armstrong wants to get back to his feet but Knight is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment. Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Armstrong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Armstrong throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Knight lands a nice shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Knight looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Knight shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Knight closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knight lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Knight wants to control from the top but Armstrong keeps moving. Armstrong working for a triangle but Knight defends it easily.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Armstrong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Demon Knight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Knight prevents Armstrong from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Demon Knight. Armstrong blocks the body kick.
Knight is looking to score with low kicks. Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Knight fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong avoids it really well and circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Armstrong misses with a takedown and Knight counters with a three punch combo that has Armstrong backing up. Armstrong nods at Knight to acknowledge the strikes. Demon Knight is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Knight darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Demon Knight will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Armstrong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into guard. Knight working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Armstrong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Armstrong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Armstrong wants to stand but Knight has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Knight is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Knight's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Armstrong would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Knight is trying to control the position but Armstrong postures up. Knight has an active guard here but Armstrong has managed to pass into half guard.
Knight on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Armstrong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong wants to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Oche Armstrong. Knight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight throws the kick towards the body but Armstrong avoids it. Armstrong clinches. Armstrong has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Knight regains guard immediately. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knight has a closed guard, preventing Armstrong from standing up. Knight is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Armstrong is controlling him. Armstrong connects with a couple of short punches. Knight can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Armstrong controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving. Armstrong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Oche Armstrong hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Knight misses with a low kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Armstrong. Knight is looking to clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Knight stuffs the takedown attempt from Armstrong. Armstrong gets slowly back to his feet. Oche Armstrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Demon Knight is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knight fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong avoids it really well and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Oche Armstrong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Knight has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
