Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Borocop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Borocop. Suez has a takedown stuffed. Suez tries to clinch but Borocop is having none of it. Suez shoots in and gets a takedown into Borocop's guard. Suez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Suez tries to free his leg and advance position but Borocop is retaining full guard. Borocop looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borocop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suez is one step ahead there. Borocop is pulling down on Suez's head. It's preventing any offense from Suez, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mark Borocop just wasn't active enough. Suez has closed the distance and engaged Borocop in a clinch.
Suez makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Suez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Suez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Borocop tries to avoid it but Suez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Borocop to the ground. Borocop escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Suez fails with an attempt to clinch.

Suez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Borocop blocks it with crossed arms. Suez swings wildly with an uppercut but Borocop uses good head movement to avoid it. Suez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Suez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mark Borocop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez. Borocop is trying to push Suez away but Suez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Borocop. Suez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Borocop smiles and moves away.
Suez looks to clinch and Borocop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Borocop swats away the attempt to clinch by Suez. Suez tries to clinch up. Suez tries to clinch up. Nice defenses there by Suez. Rafael Suez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suez is looking to clinch. Borocop connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Suez takes one on the button. Suez is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Borocop gets tackled into the cage by Suez. Suez maintains the clinch. Suez lands a hook to the side of the head.

Borocop lands with a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Suez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Borocop sprawls well. Borocop wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Suez gets slowly back to his feet. Borocop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Suez manages to avoid it. Suez tries to clinch up and Borocop counters with a stiff right hand. Suez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lazy left from Borocop finds it's target. Borocop circles away from the clinch attempt and Borocop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rafael Suez will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Suez fails in his attempt to clinch. Suez shoots for a takedown but Borocop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Borocop stuffs the takedown. Suez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Borocop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Borocop scores with a decent looking hook. Suez tries for a takedown but Borocop sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mark Borocop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez. No luck for Suez with that takedown attempt. Borocop lands a head shot. Borocop is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Borocop throws a looping overhand right but Suez ducks down to avoid it. Suez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Borocop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Suez tries to clinch up and Borocop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rafael Suez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Suez tries to score a body lock takedown but Borocop shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Suez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Suez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Borocop manages to break the clinch.
Suez takes one on the button. Borocop scores with a jab. Suez acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Suez wants to clinch and Borocop counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Suez thinking. Borocop throws the left hand but Suez avoids the punch easily. Suez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Borocop sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Suez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Suez takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suez tries to clinch but Borocop is having none of it. A combination from Borocop does no damage. Borocop catches Suez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Suez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Borocop lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Suez backs up against the cage.
Suez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Borocop tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Suez is in Borocop's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Borocop keeping moving, preventing Suez from controlling successfully. Suez postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suez throws an elbow that misses. Borocop uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Suez's guard. Nice move by Borocop! Borocop trying to control the position from guard on top but Suez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Borocop is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Suez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Borocop avoids the strikes from the bottom by Suez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Borocop feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Suezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Suez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Borocop but Borocop pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mark Borocop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez. Suez tries to clinch up but Borocop circles away and keeps his distance. Suez walks into a stiff left hand from Borocop. Suez tries to clinch up. Borocop misses the jab. Borocop throws a lazy right hand but Suez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Borocop throws a looping overhand right but Suez ducks down to avoid it. Suez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Borocop to score with a decent uppercut. Suez gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Borocop sizes up Suez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Suez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Suez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Borocop struggling a bit here. Suez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Suez trying to control the position but Borocop is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Borocop tries to improve position but can't. Suez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Borocop sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suez is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Borocop reverses the position - he's now on top in Suez's guard. Suez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Borocop has picked Suez up and slammed him! Suez can't keep hold of the triangle and Borocop manages to pass to side control! Suez can't do much from the bottom here. Borocop trying to control the action but Suez is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Borocop showed his dominance in that final round. I think Borocop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
