Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marc Zietsch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Firnanda Talha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Firnanda Talha enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Zietsch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Firnanda Talha!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zietsch is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Zietsch throws a wild body kick that Talha sees coming a mile off.
Zietsch throws the kick towards the body but Talha avoids it.
Talha shoots in for a takedown but Zietsch shows good takedown defense.
Talha dives in and grabs Zietsch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zietsch pushes down on Talha's head and hops out.

Talha looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zietsch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Talha in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Talha misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Talha taking a break here but Zietsch is having none of it and regains half guard.

Talha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zietsch keeps working.

Talha thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zietsch's head.

Talha tries to pass to full mount but Zietsch defends it.
Zietsch is trying to control but can't.
Talha working over Zietsch with some ground and pound. Zietsch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Talha looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zietsch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Zietsch is looking to get back to full guard here but Talha has managed to pass to side control instead.
Talha looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Zietsch is avoiding damage well.

The ground and pound from Talha seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Zietsch manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Talha throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Zietsch to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Talha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Talha has gone for a leg lock! Zietsch slips out almost immediately though and dives into Talha's guard.
Zietsch lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Talha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zietsch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Talha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zietsch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zietsch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Zietsch avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Talha is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Zietsch frees his head nicely. Oh but Talha has switched to an armbar! Zietsch is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Firnanda Talha!
Firnanda Talha decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
