11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Barris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mickey O Neil! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.

Horrible takedown by O Neil or perhaps it was just good defense by Barris which made him look bad. Barris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sloppy strikes from O Neil. Those never looked like landing. Barris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says O Neil as he avoids it easily. O Neil misses with a takedown attempt - Barris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. O Neil shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barris defends it nicely. John Barris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey O Neil. Barris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? O Neil is fending him off so far but Barris persists. Nope, O Neil circles away and we're back to standing. Barris displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from O Neil.
O Neil scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Barris is looking to regain half guard here but O Neil keeps moving and retains side control. Barris is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. O Neil tries to stand and escape but Barris actually recovers to full guard. O Neil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Barris pushes a forearm under O Neil's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, O Neil is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
