The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thapa scores with a takedown into Kohalic's guard.
Kohalic wants to stand and escape but Thapa is having none of it.
Thapa wants to pass the guard but Kohalic is keeping the position.

Kohalic has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Thapa off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
A telegraphed right hand from Thapa misses the target.
Kohalic thows a body shot but no joy.
Thapa tries for a takedown but Kohalic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kohalic slips a jab from Thapa.
Kohalic cracks Thapa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thapa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kohalic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Thapa is in Kohalic's guard.
Thapa passes Kohalic's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kohalic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thapa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thapa prevents Kohalic from standing back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Thapa lands a nice short elbow.
Kohalic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Thapa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kohalic's head.
Thapa scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Thapa wants to free his trapped foot but Kohalic is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kohalic scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Thapa manages to mount him!

Kohalic is in a horrible position here. Thapa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Thapa is landing with some decent strikes but Kohalic is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kohalic wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Thapa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Thapa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Thapa lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kohalic! Thapa sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kohalic and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

After the fight, Sundar Thapa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
