Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Stolen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Staunton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Staunton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Stolen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Staunton! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staunton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stolen is fending him off so far but Staunton persists. Nope, Stolen circles away and we're back to standing. Staunton drives through with a takedown into guard. Stolen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Staunton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Staunton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Staunton engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Stolen keeping moving, preventing Staunton from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Steve Staunton. Staunton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stolen sprawls well. Stolen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Staunton gets slowly back to his feet. Staunton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Staunton misses with a wild combination.
Staunton delivers a nice body kick. Stolen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Staunton to the mat! Staunton manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stolen is fighting to break Staunton's control of his arms but Staunton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stolen postures up.
Stolen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Staunton wants to sweep here but Stolen controlling him for the moment. Stolen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Staunton keeping moving, preventing Stolen from controlling successfully. Staunton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stolen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Staunton seems keen to control Stolen's posture. Stolen wants to control from the top but Staunton keeps moving. Stolen postures up in Staunton's guard and throws a big left but Staunton blocks it. Stolen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Staunton seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Staunton trying to keep a closed guard but Stolen is proving a slippery customer.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Steve Staunton wasn't active enough on the ground. Stolen keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Staunton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stolen pinned against the cage. Stolen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ryan Stolen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Staunton. Staunton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stolen circles away. Staunton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Staunton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Staunton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Staunton takes the fight into the clinch. Stolen stops a takedown attempt from Staunton.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stolen scores with a jab. Staunton acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Staunton feints and as Stolen raises his hands in defense, Staunton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Staunton trying to control the position from guard on top but Stolen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Staunton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Stolen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Staunton has his hands clasped together but Stolen extends an breaks Staunton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Stolen.
