Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ben Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Via Dios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dios's choice of entrance music: Sandstorm. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Via Dios enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Via Dios! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dios misses with the combination.
Dios bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ellis's head backwards. Dios tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Via Dios seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dios misses with a series of wild punches.
Ellis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dios scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dios. Ellis is looking to reverse the position. Dios is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ellis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ellis tries to bench press Dios off him but Dios keeps the position. Dios fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Dios working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dios connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ellis some visible discomfort.
Dios passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ellis! Dios tries to control but Ellis wriggling away. Dios raining down shots from the mount! Dios avoids the attempt from Ellis to control. Ellis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dios on the ground. Dios goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ellis is on top in guard.
Ellis stopping the sweep attempt from Dios. Dios is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ellis defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dios has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ellis doesn't defend quickly enough and Dios has managed to lock this one up! Can Ellis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dios on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Via Dios! A relieved looking Via Dios thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
