Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri De Visscher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kory Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kory Beach! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beach throws a leg kick but De Visscher sees it coming and checks it nicely. Beach lands with a thumping leg kick.
De Visscher blocks a low kick nicely. A punch combination from De Visscher misses. De Visscher closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beach circles away. De Visscher shoots in but Beach avoids the takedown attempt easily. Beach checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. De Visscher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beach as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimitri De Visscher. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Visscher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. De Visscher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beach as he jumps to the side. De Visscher throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Beach takes a kick to the side of the head. De Visscher throws a half hearted mid kick. De Visscher looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. De Visscher is breathing heavily. Beach throws an overhand right that lands on De Visscher's shoulder, as De Visscher tries to avoid the shot. De Visscher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
De Visscher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Beach slips a straight right by De Visscher. De Visscher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beach will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. De Visscher checks a low kick from Beach. Beach throws an overhand right that lands on De Visscher's shoulder, as De Visscher tries to avoid the shot. Kory Beach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beach wants to slow De Visscher down by chopping away at his legs. A head kick lands from De Visscher that sends Beach to the canvas. Beach tries to scramble back to his feet but De Visscher brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Kory Beach has been cut. De Visscher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. De Visscher working the ground and pound but Beach is defending the strikes. Beach regains half guard there - taking advantage of De Visscher's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. De Visscher tries to stand and escape but Beach is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

De Visscher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beach pinned against the cage. Beach gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. De Visscher fails with an attempt to clinch.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Beach in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Beach should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Beach changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from De Visscher. A head kick misses from De Visscher. De Visscher throws a head kick that misses. De Visscher looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A jab-cross combination lands for De Visscher and sends Beach crashing to the mat! De Visscher follows him down to the mat - Beach regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Beach is still on wobbly legs! Can De Visscher finish him?Beach regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from De Visscher. Beach seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Visscher won't allow Beach to sweep him here. Beach pulls De Visscher in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing. De Visscher would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
