Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Stickler ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton Little! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Little misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Little throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stickler uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Little works over Stickler 's head and body with a nice combination. Stickler wants to land a leg kick but Little is out of range. Stickler instigates a clinch. Stickler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Little tries to break the clinch but Stickler is controlling the position. Stickler jumps guard and drags Little to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Stickler is adopting a defensive guard. Stickler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Little defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stickler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stickler is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Little rolls with it to try and escape but Stickler cranks on the arm and Little is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
