Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shizzle Wizzle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ruben Owth!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owth scores with a one two! Wizzle had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Owth lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Owth.
Wizzle takes one to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Owth takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Owth lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wizzle has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wizzle and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Owth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wizzle moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Wizzle. Those never looked like landing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wizzle is defended easily by Owth.
Owth punishes Wizzle's body with a nice straight punch.
Owth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wizzle on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Owth drives through with a takedown into guard.
Owth postures up in Wizzle's guard and throws a big left but Wizzle blocks it.

Owth is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Owth is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wizzle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wizzle has escaped and now he's on top!
Wizzle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Owth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Owth holds on and takes a little breather.

Wizzle works over Owth with some ground and pound from guard.
Wizzle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Owth is keeping the position for now.
Owth wants to sweep but no luck.

Owth looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Owth is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wizzle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Owth throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wizzle to regain full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wizzle wants to stand but Owth is controlling the position.
Owth throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruben Owth dominated that round.
That's time! Wizzle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wizzle shoots in but no luck this time.
Owth fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Wizzle checks it well.
Owth lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Owth connects with an inside leg kick.
Wizzle throws a big shot that misses.
Owth with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Owth misses with a series of wild punches.
Owth cracks a nice hook into Wizzle's ribs.
Owth lands a body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A bone on bone clash there as Wizzle blocks the leg kick.
Owth gets a takedown into half guard.
Owth thows a huge punch but Wizzle dodges it nicely.

Owth throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Owth trying to control from half guard but Wizzle is working away.
Owth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Owth seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Owth uses his free foot to push down on Wizzle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wizzle.
Owth wants to control the pace but Wizzle is squirming around nicely.

Wizzle wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Owth.
Ruben Owth has got the better of the ground game so far.

Owth with shots to the head and body - Wizzle looks very uncomfortable down there.
Owth has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wizzle's face.
Owth drops a big elbow. That's hurt Wizzle! More shots from Owth and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Ruben Owth started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
