The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beats tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garcia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beats somewhat.
Beats moves into the clinch.
Garcia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Beats lands a big head kick that sends Garcia tumbling to the mat! Beats takes a step backwards and waves Garcia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Garcia sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Beats fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Garcia looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Beats dives in and grabs Garcia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Garcia pushes down on Beats's head and hops out.

Beats stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
