Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Cua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yao Wenyuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Cua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yao Wenyuan! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wenyuan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Cua is trying to control the position but Wenyuan postures up. Wenyuan wanted to stand there but Cua had control of the position. Cua working a defensive guard here.
Cua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wenyuan stays in close to Cua's body and controls the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cua throws a body punch but Wenyuan moves out of range. Wenyuan avoids the head kick by Cua.
Wenyuan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cua on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wenyuan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cua will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Cua is trying to control Wenyuan's posture but Wenyuan avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cua is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cua prevents Wenyuan from improving position. Cua tries to bench press Wenyuan off him but Wenyuan keeps the position. Cua seems a little lost for a moment, as Wenyuan dominates the positioning. Wenyuan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wenyuan cracks Cua with a big right hand but Cua just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Cua tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cua manages to get back to half guard. Wenyuan controlling the pace. Cua has hold of Wenyuan's hands but Wenyuan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cua looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wenyuan lands with a punch from half guard. Cua looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wenyuan winds up and cracks Cua with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wenyuan prevents Cua from improving his position. Wenyuan lands with a punch from half guard. Wenyuan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cua knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cua is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cua looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cua is breathing heavily. Cua has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Wenyuan escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Wenyuan! Cua tries to improve position but can't. Wenyuan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cua down.
Wenyuan is working Cua over with some ground and pound from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wenyuan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cua knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cua is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Cua taking a bit of punishment here - Wenyuan scoring with strikes. Cua tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wenyuan working the head with strikes. Wenyuan looks up at the clock and then as Cua takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wenyuan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
You can see the frustration on Cua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Let's hope that Wenyuan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Cua tries to buck Wenyuan off but Wenyuan is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yao Wenyuan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cua with a lazy takedown attempt and Wenyuan counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cua trying to control the position.
Cua is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wenyuan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wenyuan with a nice head shot there. Cua looking for a sweep. Not yet Cua, not yet. Cua trying to keep a closed guard but Wenyuan is proving a slippery customer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wenyuan cracks Cua with a solid left hand. Wenyuan is stalling in the full guard. Wenyuan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wenyuan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cua swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wenyuan is stalling in the full guard. Cua bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wenyuan's guard. Wenyuan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cua has his hands clasped together but Wenyuan extends an breaks Cua's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wenyuan.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yao Wenyuan! An out of breath Yao Wenyuan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
