Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zane Archavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafeal Heimlech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rafeal Heimlech! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Archavin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Archavin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Archavin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Heimlech defends it well. Archavin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Heimlech avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Archavin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Archavin stalling away here and it's allowed Heimlech to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Archavin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heimlech swivels though and keeps the full guard. Archavin passes Heimlech's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Archavin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Archavin is taking a breather. Heimlech says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Archavin wants to stand but Heimlech has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Archavin is looking to take a break and control but Heimlech is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zane Archavin. Archavin misses with a body shot.
Archavin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Archavin is stalling in the full guard.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Archavin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Archavin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Heimlech tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Archavin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Archavin is keen to just control but Heimlech is a slippery customer. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Archavin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Heimlech's guard. Heimlech should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Heimlech can't keep his opponent in guard - Archavin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

And that's the end of the fight! Zane Archavin showed his dominance in that final round. Well Archavin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
