Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between anthony chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Kline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). chavez comes to the cage accompanied by boyz in da hood. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, anthony chavez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Kline! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from chavez. No joy for Kline on that attempt. chavez misses with a takedown and Kline counters with a lovely straight right hand! chavez stuffs the takedown attempt from Kline. Kline gets slowly back to his feet. Kline keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. chavez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
chavez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. chavez trying to control the position from guard on top but Kline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. chavez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kline, up you get! chavez darts in trying to clinch and Kline counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. chavez dodges the punch combination from Kline.

Kline tries to free his leg and advance position but chavez is retaining full guard. chavez is trying to control the position but Kline postures up. Kline thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. chavez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. chavez is breathing heavily. chavez looking for a sweep. Not yet chavez, not yet. Kline slips nicely into half guard. Kline is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kline perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. chavez is looking to improve his position.
Kline wants to lay and pray for a moment but chavez keeps working. Kline seems to be looking for submissions.
chavez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kline is working away from the top position though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kline in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. chavez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kline postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for chavez to stand up. chavez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
chavez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for anthony chavez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kline will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kline tries to close the distance and clinch but chavez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. chavez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kline paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Kline dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
chavez drives through with a takedown into guard. Kline looking for a guillotine here but chavez defends easily.
chavez trying to control but Kline is working from the bottom. Kline tries to land a sweep but no joy. chavez trying to control but Kline is working from the bottom. chavez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kline working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. chavez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kline is tightening it up a little... chavez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! chavez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! chavez taps out! nice BJJ there by Kline!
