The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson gets caught napping as Philip dives in and scores a takedown. Johnson manages to retain guard.
Philip drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Philip off! Philip jumps back into Johnson's guard.

Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Philip shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Philip should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Philip is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Johnson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Philip gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Philip lets go of the hold and Johnson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
