Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mister Kobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobra misses with a right hand
and Zapata holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Zapata.
Zapata content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Zapata.
It looks like Mister Kobra has been cut.
Zapata manages to break the clinch.
Kobra gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zapata to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Zapata postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Zapata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kobra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zapata is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kobra parries the strikes from Zapata easily there. Zapata is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kobra to escape.

Zapata creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kobra sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Kobra tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Kobra is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zapata scores with a couple of nice shots.
Zapata has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Zapata is landing with some decent strikes but Kobra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
