Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mister Kobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mister Kobra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramon Zapata! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobra misses with a right hand and Zapata holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Zapata. Zapata content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Zapata.
It looks like Mister Kobra has been cut. Zapata manages to break the clinch.
Kobra gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zapata to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Zapata postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Zapata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kobra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zapata is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Zapata slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Zapata working the ground and pound from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zapata is staying tight to Kobra's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kobra dodges the ground and pound from Zapata. Zapata taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobra is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kobra is breathing heavily. Zapata is working Kobra over with some ground and pound from side control. Kobra parries the strikes from Zapata easily there. Zapata is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kobra to escape.

Zapata creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kobra sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kobra tries to get back to half guard but can't. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. An elbow from Zapata crashes against the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zapata in side control, just content to control the action for now. Kobra avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Zapata. Zapata misses with the ground and pound. Zapata in side control, just content to control the action for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kobra sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Zapata stalling. Zapata throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobra is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zapata scores with a couple of nice shots. Zapata has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Zapata unloading with bombs! Zapata is landing with some decent strikes but Kobra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Zapata looking to control and managing it successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zapata lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kobra can't escape the position.
Zapata lands a big elbow.
Kobra is rocked! Zapata postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Kobra bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Zapata and the fight is over!
