Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wish It Never Happened. Smith has chosen Master of Puppets as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Scott Smith enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Jenkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Smith! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jenkins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jenkins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jenkins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Smith is now in Jenkins's guard. A big mistake from Jenkins there, giving up the dominant position! Jenkins is breathing heavily. Jenkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jenkins is keeping the position for now. Smith gets to his feet. Jenkins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Smith should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jenkins is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control. Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jenkins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins wants to control but Smith postures up. Jenkins regains half guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Smith has eaten all the pies! Jenkins looking for submissions off his back. Smith with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jenkins looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jenkins trying to control here.
Jenkins is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Smith is thwarting Jenkins's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jenkins fails with the takedown and Smith counters with a shoot takedown. Jenkins fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jenkins trying to keep a closed guard but Smith is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith drops back looking for a leg! Jenkins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jenkins manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Jenkins's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Smith dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Smith looking to secure an arm triangle but Jenkins defends it well. Jenkins can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins tries to hold on but Smith postures up. Smith jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jenkins manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jenkins sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jenkins tries to get to full guard but Smith has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jenkins is trying to control but Smith manages to pass to mount!
Smith wants to control the pace but Jenkins is squirming around nicely. Jenkins wants to control but Smith is having none of it. Jenkins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is trying to take his opponent's back.
Smith is working for a guillotine from mount but Jenkins frees his head quite easily.
Jenkins wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Smith controlling from the full mount.

Jenkins keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Scott Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Smith misses the shot to the body. Smith misses with a takedown attempt and Jenkins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jenkins. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jenkins.
Smith pulls guard effortlessly. Jenkins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jenkins's guard. Jenkins is looking to sweep but instead, Smith has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins won't allow Smith to pass to mount. The fighters are battling for position here. Jenkins manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smith stops Jenkins from standing up. Jenkins isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smith stacks Jenkins on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith! Smith stands up and beckons Jenkins to his feet. Smith clinches up with Jenkins and pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith avoiding damage as Jenkins throws knees to the body.
Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jenkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jenkins stops a takedown attempt from Smith.
Michael Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Smith. Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jenkins gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jenkins lands a right hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards. Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Smith manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith misses with a takedown attempt and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jenkins passes to side control. Jenkins tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smith is trying to control Jenkins's posture but Jenkins avoids it. Michael Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working. Smith tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well. Jenkins trying to control the position but Smith is working away. Jenkins misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jenkins shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Smith counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jenkins trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Scott Smith. I've got Smith winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
