The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinescu on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice uppercut lands for Sinescu. That snapped Catherins's head back.
Catherins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sinescu's waist but Sinescu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Catherins off to one side.
Catherins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Catherins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sinescu circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sinescu enables Catherins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sinescu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Horrible takedown by Catherins or perhaps it was just good defense by Sinescu which made him look bad.

Catherins is stalling here. Sinescu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Catherins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sinescu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sinescu, as that shot connected.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sinescu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
