Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danilo Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Eli Williams!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams dodges the punch combination from Alves.
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams.
Alves ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alves bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Williams's head.
Williams lands with a shot to the body.

Williams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alves to the ground. Williams is now in Alves's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alves sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Williams's guard.

Williams is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alves's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alves's back!
Williams is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Williams gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Williams gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Williams apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Williams walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Alves throws a big shot that misses.

Alves shoots in looking for a takedown but Williams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alves's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Williams connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eli Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Alves lands a nice shot that snaps Williams's head back.

Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alves was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Alves is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams is stalling in the full guard.
Oh Alves is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Alves covers up, he's hurt! Williams keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Williams and the ref steps in to end the fight! Williams can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eli Williams!
After winning the bout, Eli Williams thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
