Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomew Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roach's entrance music is The Simpsons Theme Song. A fine choice. Ben Barnes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bartholomew Roach's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ben Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach lands with a nice body punch.
Barnes misses with a hook.
Roach checks a low kick from Barnes.
Barnes throws a right and a left that both miss.
A head kick misses from Roach.
Barnes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barnes moves out of range of the body kick.
Roach blocks a head kick by Barnes.
Barnes misses with a looping left.
The crowd cheers as Roach lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barnes doesn't seem phased though.
Barnes blocks a jab.
A good leg kick by Roach.

Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Roach throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Roach.

Barnes connects with a crisp jab.
Roach lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barnes's sensitive parts.

Barnes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Barnes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barnes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Roach darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Roach misses with a body shot.
Barnes throws a sloppy head kick and Roach moves out of range easily.
Roach lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Barnes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
An inside leg kick lands from Roach.
Barnes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Roach.
Roach lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Roach comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Roach throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barnes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Barnes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Roach.
Roach uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barnes has time to react.
Roach throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Roach is looking to slow Barnes down with leg kicks.
Roach comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Roach cracks Barnes with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barnes is rocked!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Roach, right into the meat.
Roach lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Good leg kick by Roach there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Roach ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away.

Barnes tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Both fighters circling a little - Roach finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
BOOM! Roach lands a beautiful left hook that drops Barnes. Barnes tries to recover but Roach is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Barnes lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bartholomew Roach!
