Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyell Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Una Kemeameahu!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kemeameahu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kemeameahu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gold was well out of range. Poor timing from Kemeameahu.
Kemeameahu looks for the body kick but Gold saw that one coming.
Kemeameahu tries to keep at a distance but Gold has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kemeameahu gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gold regains guard.
Kemeameahu throws a big right hand that misses.
Kemeameahu trying to control the position from guard on top but Gold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kemeameahu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gold swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gold is trying to control the position but Kemeameahu postures up.
Kemeameahu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kemeameahu throwing strikes from guard but Gold blocks nicely.
Kemeameahu is looking to advance position but Gold has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gold is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kemeameahu is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kemeameahu flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gold anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kemeameahu and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gold slips an arm under Kemeameahu chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gold has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gold is squeezing on Kemeameahu like an anaconda would it's prey. Kemeameahu fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kyell Gold!
