Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Durdun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andreas Metzger! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durdun connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Metzger misses with a takedown attempt - Durdun sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Durdun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Metzger moves away. A jab from Durdun finds it's way through Metzger's defenses.
It looks like Andreas Metzger has been cut. Durdun connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Durdun moves out of range of the body kick from Metzger.
Tyler Durdun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metzger moves out of range as Durdun strikes. Metzger drives through with a takedown into Durdun's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Metzger trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Durdun wants to stand but Metzger is controlling the position. Durdun controls Metzger momentarily but Metzger frees himself. Metzger throwing strikes from guard but Durdun blocks nicely. Metzger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Metzger wants to pass the guard but Durdun is keeping the position. Metzger lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durdun is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Durdun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Metzger uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Durdun. Metzger takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Metzger throws the kick towards the body but Durdun avoids it. Metzger misses with a low kick. Metzger throws a head kick that misses. Metzger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Durdun wants to get back to his feet.

Metzger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Durdun keeps working. Metzger wants to pass the guard but Durdun is defending well. Metzger wants to control but Durdun is keeping him busy. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Metzger takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durdun throws a big shot that misses. Durdun throws a leg kick but Metzger checks it. Metzger throws a front kick that sends Durdun stumbling back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Durdun will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Andreas Metzger's cut. That's time! Durdun's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Metzger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Durdun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Metzger trying to control the position but Durdun is working away. Durdun is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Metzger off and has taken his back! Metzger tries to escape but Durdun has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Durdun trying to control. Metzger wants to get back to his feet.

Durdun controls the action. Metzger manages to reverse the position and now he's in Durdun's guard. Nice work there by Metzger.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Durdun tries to get out of the position. Durdun is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Metzger is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durdun utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Metzger looking to sit in guard and control but Durdun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Metzger trying to control the position.

Durdun lands a really nice looking cross but Metzger seems unphased.
Tyler Durdun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Metzger avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Durdun looks to land a right hand but Metzger moved out of range. Metzger misses with a jab, cross combination.
Durdun lands a big head kick that sends Metzger tumbling to the mat! Durdun takes a step backwards and waves Metzger back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Metzger lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Metzger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Durdun as he jumps to the side. Metzger blocks a head kick by Durdun.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Metzger shoots in looking for a takedown but Durdun manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Metzger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Durdun circles away from the clinch attempt.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Durdun. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durdun throws a front kick aimed at Metzger's knee but Metzger avoids it well. Durdun attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Durdun cracks Metzger with a good jab. Metzger moves out of range of the strikes. Durdun misses with an uppercut. Metzger saw that one coming. Durdun throws a sloppy head kick and Metzger moves out of range easily. Durdun lands a head kick. Metzger smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Durdun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Metzger looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tyler Durdun is winning the standup battle so far. Durdun throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Metzger's head.

Metzger is rocked! Durdun displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Metzger. Metzger blocks a head kick by Durdun.
Durdun connects with a leg kick. Metzger looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Durdun throws a hook to the side of Metzger's head but Metzger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Metzger tries for a takedown but Durdun circles away easily and Durdun counters with a good low kick that Metzger was not able to check. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Durdun! Metzger is out on his feet! Durdun rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Metzger is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Metzger is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyler Durdun! A relieved looking Tyler Durdun thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
