15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenichi Uzomaki! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Uzomaki to the ground. James is now in Uzomaki's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. James has gone for a leg lock! Uzomaki slips out almost immediately though and dives into James's guard. James has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. James wants to sweep but no luck. James keeping full guard, as Uzomaki tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Uzomaki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Uzomaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Uzomaki wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.

James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Uzomaki defends well. Uzomaki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and James dives on top into guard. Uzomaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. James drives through with a takedown into guard. Kenichi Uzomaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nick James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Uzomaki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Uzomaki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
James tries to free his leg and advance position but Uzomaki is retaining full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Uzomaki trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick James showed his dominance in that final round. Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
