Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Turcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sherman Calibrisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calibrisi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Etho - The Godfather Theme (Dubstep Remix). Ivan Turcic had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivan Turcic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sherman Calibrisi! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calibrisi tries for a takedown but Turcic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Calibrisi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Turcic scores with a hook to the body. Calibrisi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Calibrisi is defended easily by Turcic. Turcic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Calibrisi to the ground. Turcic is now in Calibrisi's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Calibrisi pushes Turcic off and scrambles back to his feet.
Calibrisi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turcic is fending him off so far but Calibrisi persists. Nope, Turcic circles away and we're back to standing. Ivan Turcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sherman Calibrisi. Calibrisi rushes Turcic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Turcic ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Turcic no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turcic keeping moving, preventing Calibrisi from controlling successfully. Turcic wants to stand and escape but Calibrisi is having none of it. Calibrisi slips nicely into half guard. Turcic throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turcic looks like he's trying to stand up.
Calibrisi slows the pace down in half guard. Calibrisi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Turcic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calibrisi on the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Turcic won't allow Calibrisi to pass to mount. Turcic wants to get back to his feet.
Turcic is not content to let Calibrisi control the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sherman Calibrisi wasn't active enough on the ground. Turcic tries to clinch up but Calibrisi circles away and keeps his distance. Turcic leaves Calibrisi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Calibrisi tries to close the distance and clinch but Turcic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calibrisi fails with the takedown. Turcic wants to clinch up but Calibrisi keeps it at a distance. Calibrisi shoots in for a takedown but Turcic shows good takedown defense. Nice sprawl there from Turcic as Calibrisi shoots in. Nice takedown defense from Calibrisi. No joy for Turcic on that attempt. A solid leg kick lands there for Calibrisi.
Turcic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Calibrisi swats away the attempt to clinch by Turcic. Turcic fails in his attempt to clinch. Calibrisi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turcic swats him away and circles back towards the center. Calibrisi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Turcic did well to prevent Calibrisi getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Calibrisi is trying to control the action in half guard but Turcic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calibrisi slips a nice elbow through Turcic's hands, connecting with Turcic's forehead. Calibrisi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Turcic is not content to let Calibrisi control the position. Turcic is trying to stand up here but Calibrisi is controlling him well. Turcic is breathing heavily. Calibrisi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Calibrisi trying to control from half guard but Turcic is working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sherman Calibrisi. Turcic rushes Calibrisi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Calibrisi lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Calibrisi wants to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calibrisi goes for a takedown attempt but Turcic pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Calibrisi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turcic tries to avoid it but Calibrisi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turcic to the ground. Turcic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Calibrisi darts in and clinches Turcic up against the cage. Turcic prevents Calibrisi from breaking the clinch. Calibrisi taking a breather. Calibrisi landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turcic is trying to push Calibrisi away but Calibrisi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Turcic pulls guard effortlessly. Calibrisi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Calibrisi wants to control from the top but Turcic keeps moving. Turcic wriggles free and stands up. Calibrisi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Turcic sprawls well. Turcic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Calibrisi gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sherman Calibrisi dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Calibrisi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A head kick misses from Calibrisi. Calibrisi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Turcic throws a series of punches but Calibrisi moves out of range. Turcic blocks a head kick by Calibrisi.
Calibrisi shoots in but Turcic avoids the takedown attempt easily. Turcic clinches up with Calibrisi and pushes him back against the cage. Calibrisi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ivan Turcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sherman Calibrisi. Calibrisi wants a takedown but no success here.
Turcic manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Turcic with that takedown attempt. Calibrisi shoots in looking for a takedown but Turcic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Calibrisi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calibrisi fails with a takedown attempt. Calibrisi is breathing heavily. Calibrisi looks for a takedown but Turcic sprawls well. Turcic is looking to clinch but Calibrisi is avoiding it.

Calibrisi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turcic circles away. Calibrisi pushes Turcic away with a front kick. Turcic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Turcic wants to control from the top but Calibrisi keeps moving. Calibrisi is trying to control the position but Turcic postures up. Calibrisi is working an open guard so Turcic takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Calibrisi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Calibrisi misses with a takedown attempt - Turcic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turcic moves into range and clinches up with Calibrisi. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turcic is defending well against a takedown attempt. Calibrisi trying to control the position but instead, Turcic has worked for underhooks and has pushed Calibrisi into the cage. Calibrisi wants a takedown but no success here.
Turcic tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Turcic has Calibrisi pressed against the cage, preventing Calibrisi from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Calibrisi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Sherman Calibrisi has got the better of the ground game so far. Calibrisi trying to keep a closed guard but Turcic is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Calibrisi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Turcic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Calibrisi trying to control the position.

Turcic wants to stand but Calibrisi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Calibrisi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Turcic frees his head nicely. Oh but Calibrisi has switched to an armbar! Turcic is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
