Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Hoehne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Condit will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Hoehne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Condit!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit gets caught napping as Hoehne dives in and scores a takedown. Condit manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hoehne sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hoehne pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Condit is keeping the position for now.
Hoehne prevents Condit from getting back to his feet.
Condit trying to keep a closed guard but Hoehne is proving a slippery customer.
Hoehne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hoehne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Condit is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Hoehne lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Carlos Condit has been cut.
Hoehne has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Condit after a bit of a struggle.
Condit decides to pull guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Condit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hoehne is controlling him.
Hoehne postures up in Condit's guard and throws a big left but Condit blocks it.

Hoehne forces his way into half guard.
Hoehne is working for a kimura but Condit is defending it quite comfortably.
Hoehne passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Condit!
Hoehne is looking to stand but Hoehne has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Condit tries to buck Hoehne off but he can't manage it.
Hoehne is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Condit can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Condit really wants to buck Hoehne off and get back to his feet.
Hoehne throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Hoehne tries to control but Condit wriggling away.
Condit tries to hold on but Hoehne pushes him away.
Hoehne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hoehne sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Condit tries to reverse the position but Hoehne maintains control.
Condit is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Hoehne throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Condit because Hoehne loaded up on that one.

Hoehne fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Condit is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Condit tries to hold on but Hoehne postures up.
Hoehne is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Condit has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Condit!
Hoehne is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hoehne working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Condit has passed into half guard!
Condit wants to stand up but Hoehne is controlling the position.

Hoehne manages to get to full guard.

Condit has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hoehne is proving hard to escape from.
Hoehne striking off his back but it's not causing Condit any problems.
Condit stands up and waves to Hoehne to follow him.

Hoehne is breathing heavily.
Condit wants to stand and escape but Hoehne is having none of it.
Condit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoehne is one step ahead there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Condit manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Carlos Condit's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Condit scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hoehne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Condit fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hoehne.
Condit stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoehne. Hoehne gets slowly back to his feet.
Condit scores with a sloppy right hand. Hoehne should have avoided that one.
Condit loads up on a big right hand but Hoehne slips the punch.
Hoehne has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Hoehne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Condit scores with a decent looking hook.
Hoehne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Condit stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoehne. Hoehne gets slowly back to his feet.
Condit lands a really nice looking cross but Hoehne seems unphased.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hoehne on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Condit lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hoehne takes a step back to recover.

Condit digs a good hook to Hoehne's body.
Condit lands with a kick to the temple. Hoehne shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Condit throws a right and a left that Hoehne avoids nicely.
Condit scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Condit stalks Hoehne and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoehne's face. Hoehne staggers backwards, shaken.
Matthew Hoehne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hoehne looks for a takedown but Condit sprawls well.
A decent looking cross lands there for Condit.
Nice jab there from Condit.
Condit throws a head kick but Hoehne moves out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Condit as he connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Condit lunges at Hoehne with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hoehne's hand.
Condit closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hoehne is rocked!
Carlos Condit seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hoehne gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Condit gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hoehne is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
