Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charlie Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cory Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Araujo gets the takedown into side control.

Araujo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gunn has escaped the position, nice work there.

Araujo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gunn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Araujo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Araujo has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Araujo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Araujo wants to finish this one by submission but Gunn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Araujo.
Gunn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Araujo looks gassed!
Gunn is squirming around, avoiding Araujo's attempts to control the action.

Araujo is standing up, even though he is in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Araujo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gunn looks like he's trying to stand up.

Araujo is trying to work for a kimura but Gunn is defending well.

Araujo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gunn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Araujo is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Araujo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gunn has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gunn is pressing down on Araujo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gunn is looking to stand up but Araujo isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Araujo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch but Araujo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gunn tries to clinch up.
Gunn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Araujo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gunn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Araujo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gunn tries to clinch up.
Gunn lands a head kick!

Gunn has managed to clinch.
Gunn is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gunn lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gunn tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Gunn gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Araujo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gunn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gunn is trying to stall.
Gunn is trying to break the clinch but Araujo has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cory Araujo dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Araujo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Araujo is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Gunn is in real trouble.

Araujo has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gunn is in real trouble here. Araujo gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gunn is tapping out! Araujo wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cory Araujo!
