Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus J Whyte! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson ducks under a wild hook from Whyte. Whyte throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Whyte throws a head kick that misses. Whyte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away. Whyte misses with a head kick.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Whyte instigates a clinch. Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Whyte has him pressed against the cage. Johnson tries to break free but Whyte pushes him back against the cage. Johnson is trying to push Whyte away but Whyte has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Still in the clinch, Whyte scores with a nice short uppercut. Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Whyte won't allow it.

Whyte stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Whyte showing good wrestling skills to control the position. OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcus J Whyte hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Whyte throws a sloppy body shot
letting Johnson counter with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fight stays on the outside here - Whyte looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Whyte looks winded! Whyte tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson checks the leg kick. Whyte cracks Johnson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Johnson throws a one two combo.
Whyte gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whyte keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson pushes down on Whyte's leg and manages to get into half guard. Johnson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Whyte is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). William Johnson! In his post fight interview, William Johnson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
