The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tappanii changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cop looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tappanii is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cop knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tappanii wants to control but Cop is keeping him busy.
Tappanii thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tappanii wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cop, who protects the arm well.
Cop on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cop tries to get out of the position.
Tappanii wants to control but Cop is keeping him busy.

Tappanii has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cop is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tappanii yanks on the arm and Cop is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tappanii.
