Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nic Ola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Soto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ola comes to the cage accompanied by Disorder by Ice T&Slayer. The crowd seem to be enjoying Soto's choice of entrance music: Busta Rhymes Feat Eminem - I'll Hurt You . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Nic Ola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luiz Soto!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soto looks for a takedown but Ola sprawls well.
Ola throws a low kick but Soto avoids it.
Soto with a poor takedown

and Ola counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Soto is looking to get back to full guard here but Ola has managed to pass to side control instead.
Ola wants to stand but Soto has his arm trapped.
Soto is trying to get back to half guard.
Ola scores with punches from side control.

Ola wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Soto, who protects the arm well.

Ola goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Soto has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ola but great work by Soto.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ola is not content to let Soto control the position.

Soto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ola sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ola avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Soto.
Soto throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Ola pushes Soto off and gets back to his feet.
Ola throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Soto has his takedown stuffed
and Ola counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nic Ola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Soto.
Soto loads up on a big right hand but Ola slips the punch.

Soto shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ola napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ola can't do much from the bottom here.
Soto fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ola is looking for a sweep.
Ola dodges the ground and pound from Soto.
Soto advances to full mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ola is working to get back to half guard.
Ola is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Ola regains half guard.
Ola blocking the ground and pound attempt from Soto.

Soto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ola is just riding it out for now. Soto eventually gives up the hold.

Ola is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Soto is working for a kimura here but Ola manages to reverse the position and he's now in Soto's guard.

Soto is trying to keep Ola in close.

Ola throws a big elbow that misses.
Ola won't allow Soto to sweep him here.
Ola trying to control but Soto is working from the bottom.

Soto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ola is aware though and is defending well.

Ola working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Ola is putting a hurting on Soto here, landing some big shots from side control.
Soto manages to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soto looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Soto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ola wants to get back to his feet.
Soto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ola scores with a couple of nice shots.
Soto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ola's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ola's back!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Soto is looking for the choke from the back position but Ola is controlling his hands well.
Soto is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Soto gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Soto gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Soto apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Soto scores with a takedown into Ola's guard.

Soto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ola has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Soto has managed to get both his arms back between Ola's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nic Ola will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Soto is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ola throws a nice outside leg kick.

Soto closes the distance and clinches.
Soto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ola is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Soto jumps guard but Ola turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Soto is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ola can't fight it off and eventually Soto manages to take the fight to the floor. Ola looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Soto wants to pass the guard but Ola is keeping the position.
Ola utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Soto lands a couple of digs.

Ola working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Soto stands and throws Ola's legs to the side, diving into side control.

You can see the frustration on Ola's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ola is looking to reverse the position.

Soto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ola wants to control but Soto is keeping busy.

Soto seems to be working for a kimura but Ola defends the submission attempt.

Soto postures up in Ola's guard and throws a big left but Ola blocks it.
Ola is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Soto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ola manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Soto has Ola in his guard.

Luiz Soto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Nic Ola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Soto.

Soto shoots in for a takedown but Ola shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Soto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ola stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ola wants it to stay on the feet.

Soto shoots in for a double leg but Ola sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Soto takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A nice inside leg kick there by Ola. That's going to slow Soto down.
Ola connects with a jab.
Ola pushes Soto away with a front kick.
Ola lands with an overhand left.
Ola connects with a combination that backs up Soto into the cage. Ola lands a flurry of punches that gets past Soto's guard. Soto is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Ola bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nic Ola!
In his post fight interview, Nic Ola gave a big smile as he said 'Thanks for a fine fight,now....Sun Ra will get you one day but now..hmm...well you are better... Puska thats a diffrent story ,hope will have a chance to show you how it meant to end up,hehehe.'.
