Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie Blair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Striker Grappling! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blair takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Grappling feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Blair's calf. Blair misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Grappling comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nice takedown defense from Grappling. No joy for Blair on that attempt. Grappling lands with a thumping leg kick.
Blair looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Blair. That's going to take a lot out of him. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grappling.
Blair is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grappling misses with a low kick.
Grappling throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grappling feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Blair sprawling to the canvas! Blair rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Grappling finish him?!
Blair is rocked!
It looks like Robbie Blair has been cut. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Blair. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Grappling, right into the meat.
Oh Blair is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Grappling lands an uppercut, right on the button! Blair tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Striker Grappling!
