Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rikki Tavarius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavarius comes into the arena with It Dont Come Easy blaring out of the sound system. Aldo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rough Rida kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rikki Tavarius had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tavarius doesn't seem bothered though.
Aldo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Rikki Tavarius has been cut.
Tavarius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aldo moves away.
Tavarius takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Aldo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tavarius.
Tavarius keeps the fight on the outside.
Aldo digs a good hook to Tavarius's body.
Aldo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Tavarius is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aldo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aldo misses the shot to the body.
Tavarius drops his hands momentarily and Aldo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Aldo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aldo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tavarius. Tavarius circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Aldo avoids the body shot from Tavarius.
Aldo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tavarius manages to avoid it.
Tavarius moves away from the strike by Aldo.

Tavarius shoots for a double leg takedown but Aldo sprawls well. He's pushed Tavarius's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aldo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Aldo tries to clinch up but Tavarius circles away and keeps his distance.
Aldo moves in looking to clinch but Tavarius pushes him off.
Aldo closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Tavarius is rocked!

Aldo has Tavarius up against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Tavarius is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aldo lands a big right hand that drops Tavarius! The killer instinct kicks in and Aldo finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Aldo!

Jose Aldo bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
