Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josef Jaeger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abcd Efgh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josef Jaeger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abcd Efgh! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Efgh moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jaeger looks to throw the jab but Efgh is out of range. Jaeger shoots in but Efgh avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jaeger throws a right hand that misses
and Efgh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jaeger won't be happy with that. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jaeger can't do much from the bottom here. Efgh wants to control but Jaeger is keeping him busy. Jaeger struggling a bit here. Jaeger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Efgh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Efgh controls the position. Jaeger regains half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Efgh keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jaeger wants to improve his position but Efgh is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaeger is controlling Efgh's trapped leg to prevent Efgh from advancing to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jaeger trying to hold on to Efgh's head to control him but Efgh postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Efgh defending well as Jaeger loads up on a big left hand. Jaeger throws a body kick that misses. Jaeger drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Efgh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jaeger is one step ahead there. Efgh managing to control the position. Efgh has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jaeger has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Efgh is trying to control Jaeger's posture but Jaeger avoids it. Jaeger in side control, throwing shots but Efgh defends. Efgh wants to control but Jaeger postures up. Jaeger tries to move into full mount but can't pass Efgh's legs. Jaeger throwing shots but missing, from side control. Efgh tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jaeger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jaeger throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Jaeger throwing shots but missing, from side control. Efgh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jaeger is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Efgh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jaeger looks to land a strike but Efgh avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jaeger with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Efgh looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jaeger throws a big right hand that misses. Efgh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jaeger throws a big right hand that misses. Jaeger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Efgh wants to sweep here but Jaeger controlling him for the moment. Efgh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jaeger won't allow Efgh to sweep him here. Jaeger trying to control the position from guard on top but Efgh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Efgh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jaeger with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jaeger working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Efgh wants to sweep here but Jaeger controlling him for the moment. Jaeger throws an elbow that misses. Efgh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jaeger's guard. Nice move by Efgh!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaeger has Efgh pulled in close to control his posture. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jaeger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josef Jaeger. A big left from Jaeger misses. Efgh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jaeger, as that shot connected.
Jaeger tests Efgh's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josef Jaeger dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jaeger throws a lazy right hand but Efgh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jaeger misses with an uppercut
and Efgh counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Efgh. Jaeger misses with the head strike.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jaeger. Jaeger misses with a punch on the inside.
Jaeger swings wildly with an uppercut but Efgh uses good head movement to avoid it. Jaeger misses with a hook from the clinch. Jaeger misses with a punch on the inside.
Efgh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jaeger gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaeger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jaeger darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Efgh slips under a jab from Jaeger. Jaeger cracks Efgh with a good jab. Jaeger misses the jab. Efgh has his takedown stuffed and Jaeger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Efgh blocks a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Jaeger misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaeger keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Josef Jaeger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaeger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Efgh pinned against the cage. Efgh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jaeger drives through with a takedown into guard.
Efgh is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Jaeger landing some decent shots from guard. Efgh is still in real trouble! Can Jaeger finish him? Jaeger arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Efgh's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Josef Jaeger! Josef Jaeger retains his lightweight title! A very excited looking Josef Jaeger rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
