Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conan Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Rance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conan Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Rance! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rance shoots in for a takedown but Balboa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Balboa throws a leg kick and Rance moves into the clinch. Balboa missing with knees to the body.
Rance lands a takedown into guard.
Rance is stalling in the full guard. Rance postures up in Balboa's guard and throws a big left but Balboa blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rance's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rance is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rance throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rance is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rance postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rance seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rance makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Duke Rance has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Rance rushes Balboa and presses him up against the cage. Rance wants the takedown. Balboa is fighting it off but Rance persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Balboa's guard against the cage. Rance not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rance won't allow Balboa to get back to his feet. Rance scoring with punches to the head and body.

Balboa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Duke Rance showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rance holds on and takes a little breather. And that's the end of the fight! Duke Rance comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rance has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
