Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Rexum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maya comes to the cage accompanied by Spitfire. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rexum looks to land a left hand but Maya moved out of range nicely.
Rexum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maya circles away quickly and effectively.
Rexum scores with a one two! Maya had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Maya slips a jab from Rexum.
Rexum is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maya.
Rexum throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Maya scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Maya wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rexum keeps working.
Rexum tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rexum is being controlled here.

Maya is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rexum has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maya takes a little break here. Rexum wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Rexum is trying to get back to half guard.

Maya tries for a kimura but Rexum is defending well.

Maya thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rexum is looking to regain half guard here but Maya keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Maya slows the pace down.

Maya is trying to get an arm triangle but Rexum is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maya is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rexum is trying to escape and Maya transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rexum is forced to tap! Nice work there by Maya! Very nice indeed!
