Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hype Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spox Beard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes into the arena with P.O.D. - Boom blaring out of the sound system. Beard has chosen Spock's Beard - The Great Nothing as his entrance music. Spox Beard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beard moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.
Beard wants to land a leg kick but Williams is out of range.
Beard misses with a low kick as Williams jumps back.
Williams moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Williams avoids the head kick by Beard.
Beard slips a jab and a cross from Williams.
Beard misses with a leg kick.
Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Beard checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Beard rushes Williams and presses him up against the ropes.
Beard with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Hype Williams has been cut.
Beard lands a nice elbow.
Beard comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Beard is struggling to control the position.
Beard is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Beard as Williams tries to tie him up.

Nice elbow from Beard.
Beard pushes off an throws an elbow but Williams leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Beard obliges.
Beard lands an elbow inside.
Williams dodges an elbow strike from Beard.
Williams managing to block the knees to the body from Beard.
Williams wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Beard has Williams pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Beard pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Williams tumbling to the mat - Beard dives into Williams's guard.
Beard prevents Williams from getting back to his feet.
Beard throws a strike but Williams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Beard working a defensive guard but Williams passes into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Beard is looking to improve his position.
Williams postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Beard to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Beard misses with a body kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Beard.
Williams punishes Beard's body with a nice straight punch.
Beard is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.
Williams misses with a double jab
and Beard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Williams's knee momentarily.
Beard fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Beard lands a big head kick that sends Williams to the canvas! Beard follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spox Beard!
Spox Beard was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
