Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy has chosen Pantera - Walk as his entrance music. Maxwell Jeremy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maxwell Jeremy! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeremy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Singh pinned against the cage. Singh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Singh throws a left that rocks Jeremy and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Singh dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jeremy regain composure!
It looks like Maxwell Jeremy has been cut. Singh working away. Jeremy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Singh blocks the strikes from Jeremy.
Jeremy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Singh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Singh cracks Jeremy with an elbow. That is naaassty. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jeremy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Singh working the ground and pound. Jeremy taking a bit of punishment here - Singh scoring with strikes. Singh decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jeremy to his feet. A combination from Singh does no damage. Jeremy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Singh's guard. Singh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Singh tries to get out of the position. Jeremy postures up in Singh's guard and throws a big left but Singh blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeremy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Singh's guard. Singh wants to get back to full guard. Jeremy works his way into side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jeremy scoring with punches from side control. Jeremy working the ground and pound but Singh is defending the strikes. Jeremy gets to mount! Singh was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Jeremy lands a nice shot to the head. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeremy is thwarting Singh's attempts to control the position. Jeremy slips a nice elbow through Singh's hands, connecting with Singh's forehead. Jeremy passes the guard and advances to mount! Jeremy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Singh is desperately trying to improve his position but Jeremy has a good base and remains in mount. Jeremy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jeremy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jeremy with a couple of short strikes. Singh is trying desperately to improve position. Jeremy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Singh looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Maxwell Jeremy will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Maxwell Jeremy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jeremy shoots in but Singh avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jeremy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Singh throws a half hearted mid kick. Jeremy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jeremy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Singh tries to buck Jeremy off but Jeremy is having none of it. Jeremy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Maxwell Jeremy has got the better of the ground game so far. Jeremy scores with punches from side control. Jeremy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeremy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Singh tries to improve position but can't. Singh is working hard here to advance position. Singh is trying to work for a sweep but Jeremy has mounted him! Jeremy has hold of Singh's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Singh manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jeremy cracks Singh with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeremy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Singh tries to avoid it but Jeremy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Singh to the ground. Singh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Simon Singh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jeremy blocks a jab. Singh takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jeremy tries for a takedown but Singh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Simon Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxwell Jeremy. Singh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A telegraphed right hand from Singh misses the target. Jeremy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Singh circles away. Jeremy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jeremy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Good exchange - Singh coming out on top. Jeremy shoots for a double leg takedown but Singh sprawls well. He's pushed Jeremy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jeremy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Nice defenses there by Jeremy. A head kick by Singh misses and Jeremy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jeremy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jeremy blocks the elbow strike.

Singh keeping moving, preventing Jeremy from controlling successfully. Jeremy is working Singh over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jeremy wants to stand but Singh is controlling his posture from full guard. Jeremy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jeremy stopping the sweep attempt from Singh. Singh is fighting to maintain full guard but Jeremy has managed to sneak the leg through. Singh tries to roll over but Jeremy keeps him under control. Jeremy is working hard to pass the guard. Singh wants to hold on but Jeremy pushes him away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jeremy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Singh tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jeremy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Singh has his hands clasped together but Jeremy breaks the hold and Singh is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Jeremy!
