Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boone Straud! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ojibwe Niggwerj! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Straud gets caught flat footed, as Niggwerj shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Niggwerj trying to control the position from guard on top but Straud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Straud knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Niggwerj on the ground. Straud looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Straud keeping moving, preventing Niggwerj from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ojibwe Niggwerj wasn't active enough on the ground. Straud avoids the body shot from Niggwerj.
Niggwerj shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Straud defends it nicely. Ojibwe Niggwerj seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Niggwerj shoots in for a double leg but Straud sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Niggwerj tries to clinch but Straud moves out of range. Some wild striking there from Niggwerj.
Straud leaves Niggwerj with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boone Straud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ojibwe Niggwerj. Straud avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Niggwerj shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Straud sprawls well. Straud wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Niggwerj gets slowly back to his feet.

Niggwerj moves away from the strike by Straud. Straud really is a fat lump. Niggwerj looking to score a takedown here. Straud is defending well but Niggwerj drives through and ends up in Straud's guard. Niggwerj drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Niggwerj jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Niggwerj throwing strikes but missing. Niggwerj wanted to stand there but Straud had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Niggwerj wants to control from the top but Straud keeps moving. Niggwerj trying to stand up but can't free himself from Straud's guard. Straud keeping moving, preventing Niggwerj from controlling successfully. Straud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Niggwerj wants to control from the top but Straud keeps moving.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ojibwe Niggwerj wasn't active enough on the ground. Straud connects with the punch.
It looks like Ojibwe Niggwerj has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Straud. Niggwerj misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fight stays on the outside here - Niggwerj looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Straud scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Niggwerj shoots in looking for a takedown. Straud tries to sprawl out of it but Niggwerj keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Straud manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No joy there for Niggwerj, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ojibwe Niggwerj dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ojibwe Niggwerj's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Niggwerj tries to close the distance and clinch but Straud swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Niggwerj throws a head kick that Straud semi-blocks.
Niggwerj moves to clinch but Straud breaks away and Straud counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Niggwerj is looking to clinch but Straud is avoiding it.

Niggwerj tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Straud manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Straud displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Niggwerj. Niggwerj doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Straud closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Niggwerj! Straud dives in looking to finish! Niggwerj is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
