The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Step Child circles away from the clinch attempt.
Step Child cracks the inside of Ota's front leg.
Step Child connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ota's hands.

It looks like Idi Ota has been cut.
Step Child scores with a sloppy right hand. Ota should have avoided that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Step Child keeps the fight on the outside.
Ota tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Step Child counters with a nice uppercut.
Step Child lands a nice hook to Ota's body. Ota takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Step Child uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ota tries to clinch but Step Child is having none of it.
Step Child connects with a leg kick. Ota looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ota is breathing heavily.
Ota tries to close the distance and clinch up but Step Child swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Step Child paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Step Child counters with a big uppercut that drops Ota face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!
