Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Ellenberger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellenberger comes to the cage accompanied by Soldier. Snuka has chosen Superfly by Curtis Mayfield as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adolf Ellenberger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Snuka! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snuka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ellenberger as he jumps to the side. Snuka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ellenberger is looking for a sweep. Snuka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ellenberger throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Snuka trying to control the action but Ellenberger is working from the bottom. Ellenberger is trying to control but can't.
Ellenberger regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Snuka. Snuka engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Snuka is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Snuka controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Snuka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ellenberger works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Snuka working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellenberger keeping moving, preventing Snuka from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snuka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Snuka working some strikes from top position. Snuka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ellenberger is keeping the position for now. Ellenberger trying to control the position.
Snuka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ellenberger works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ellenberger has his foot on Snuka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snuka works his way back into a safe position though. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ellenberger holds on and takes a little breather. Snuka landing some decent shots from guard. Ellenberger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snuka is looking to work some ground and pound but Ellenberger has wrist control. Snuka with a nice head shot there. Ellenberger is trying to hold Snuka in close to prevent damage but Snuka has managed to pass into half guard.
Snuka takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Snuka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Snuka not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ellenberger is looking to control Snuka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ellenberger avoid being mounted? Ellenberger won't allow Snuka to pass to mount. Snuka wants to control but Ellenberger is keeping him busy. Ellenberger has his hands clasped together around Snuka's back. He's all about the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellenberger missing with punches from the bottom.
Ellenberger avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Snuka. Ellenberger trying to hold on to Snuka's head to control him but Snuka postures up.
Snuka passes the guard and advances to mount! Snuka fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ellenberger is bucking up trying to escape but Snuka cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ellenberger in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snuka wants to finish this one by submission but Ellenberger is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Snuka. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snuka pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Ellenberger is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snuka lands a big shot to the head and Ellenberger winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jimmy Snuka! Jimmy Snuka took some time post fight to say the following; 'They call me... SUPERFLY! And anyone who thinks they can soar with me is bound to crash down!'.
