Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Bognar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bognar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bognar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Anderson circles away.

Anderson pushes Bognar up against the cage in a clinch.
Bognar jumps guard but Anderson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Bognar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Anderson gets the takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Anderson is stalling here. Bognar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Anderson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bognar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Anderson gets back to half guard.
Anderson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Anderson.

Anderson is pushing down on Bognar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bognar is fighting to maintain full guard but Anderson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bognar's guard.

Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
