Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Davis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fabolous - Breathe . Alvarez has chosen Daddy Yankee - Gasolina as his entrance music. Phil Davis had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvarez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Phil Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown but Alvarez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

enabling Alvarez to counter with a crisp jab.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Alvarez looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Davis can't hide his disappointment, as Alvarez celebrates the victory.
