Skarface's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, where all the good people go?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skarface changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendez tries to avoid it but Skarface manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendez to the ground. Mendez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Skarface looks to score with a jab to the body but Mendez is just out of range.
Mendez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Skarface under the eye.
Mendez lands a big head kick that sends Skarface tumbling to the mat! Mendez takes a step backwards and waves Skarface back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Tony Skarface has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mendez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mendez.
Sloppy strikes from Mendez. Those never looked like landing.
Mendez throws a head kick that misses.
Mendez cracks Skarface with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
