Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gaslight Anthem - Boxer. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams blocks a head kick by Mendez.
Mendez avoids the body shot from Adams.
Mendez lands a nice shot that snaps Adams's head back.

It looks like Gregory Adams has been cut.
Mendez moves out of range of the leg kick from Adams.
Adams connects with a jab.
Mendez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Adams thows a body shot but no joy.
Adams throws a half hearted mid kick.
Adams thumps Mendez with a low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mendez throws a right and a left that Adams avoids nicely.
Adams fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mendez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Adams throws a head kick but Mendez moves out of range.
Adams throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Adams takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

enabling Mendez to counter with a crisp jab.
Adams tries to land a front kick but Mendez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mendez throws a chopping leg kick but Adams manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Adams throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Mendez counter with a right hand.
Adams takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gregory Adams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mendez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mendez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Adams!
Adams is squirming around, avoiding Mendez's attempts to control the action.
Adams is trying to escape the mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adams wants to hold on but Mendez pushes him away.

Adams defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mendez.

Mendez avoids the attempt from Adams to control.

Adams tries to lock up and control but Mendez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Adams is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mendez controlling the position easily from mount.
Adams wants to control but Mendez is having none of it.
Mendez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Adams tries to reverse the position but Mendez maintains control.
