Poddubny comes to the ring accompanied by Champion Of The Champions. Raffer Steele will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele throws a head kick that misses.
Steele looks to throw the jab but Poddubny is out of range.

Poddubny darts in and clinches Steele up against the ropes.
Steele misses with a knee to the head.
Poddubny avoiding damage as Steele throws knees to the body.

Poddubny lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Steele is refusing to be controlled, as Poddubny sits in half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Steele tries to roll over but Poddubny keeps him under control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ivan Poddubny just wasn't active enough.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steele.
Poddubny avoids the body shot from Steele.
Raffer Steele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poddubny takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Steele misses with a leg kick.
Steele tries a head kick but it misses.
Steele lands a nice looking kick to the body. Poddubny takes a step back to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steele throws a front kick that sends Poddubny stumbling back into the ropes.
Steele pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steele thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Poddubny if he has to take too many more of those.

Steele lands a big head kick that sends Poddubny tumbling to the mat! Steele takes a step backwards and waves Poddubny back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Poddubny gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Steele points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Poddubny wakes up just in time to hear Steele thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
