Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Mott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dell Optiplex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Mott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dell Optiplex!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mott works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mott thuds a left hand into Optiplex's body.
Optiplex shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mott sprawls well. Mott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Optiplex gets slowly back to his feet.
Optiplex steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mott.
Optiplex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Optiplex checks a low kick from Mott.
Mott misses with a low kick.
Optiplex goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Optiplex throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick from Optiplex lands but Mott takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mott scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Optiplex doesn't seem bothered though.

Mott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Optiplex looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mott lands a decent elbow from side control.
Mott controls the position from side control.

Mott is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Optiplex is trying to escape and Mott transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Optiplex is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mott! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Mott!
John Mott tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
