Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Toombs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryce Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Toombs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryce Murray! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Toombs. No joy for Murray on that attempt. Toombs with a poor takedown and Murray counters with a nice double leg into side control. Toombs won't be happy with that. Murray stands up. Toombs throws a right hand that Murray ducks under and follows up with a left that Murray also avoids with ease. Toombs wants to clinch. Toombs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Toombs lands in his opponent's guard. Murray controls Toombs momentarily but Toombs frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toombs prevents Murray from getting back to his feet. Murray is striking from the bottom but Toombs uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Murray trying to control from the bottom.
Murray misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Toombs works his way into full mount! Murray really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Murray somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Toombs doesn't manage to clinch there - Murray circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Murray. Murray working away. Toombs is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Murray's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray is just content to waste time from the top position. Toombs takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Murray trying to control the position from guard on top but Toombs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murray decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Toombs, up you get! Murray looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Toombs misses with a takedown attempt and Murray counters with a single leg into guard. Toombs didn't expect that. Murray trying to control the position from guard on top but Toombs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murray is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Toombs is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Murray is controlling him. Toombs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce Murray dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Joseph Toombs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Toombs tries to clinch but Murray is having none of it. Toombs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murray as he jumps to the side. Toombs fails with the takedown and Murray counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Murray. Toombs is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Murray is keeping busy. Murray escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murray throws a nice looking combination but Toombs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murray misses with a takedown and Toombs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Murray's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Toombs tries to free his leg and advance position but Murray is retaining full guard. Murray wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toombs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Murray counters with a three punch combo that has Toombs backing up. Toombs nods at Murray to acknowledge the strikes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Toombs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Toombs closes the distance looking to clinch and Murray counters with a nice double leg into guard. Murray trying to control the position from guard on top but Toombs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murray must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Toombs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray trying to control but Toombs is working from the bottom. Toombs is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Murray frees his head nicely. Oh but Toombs has switched to an armbar! Murray is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
